A two-phase project with the McDonald's Innovation Center and SCAD Design Management 750 Collaborative Culture in Design Organizations Winter 2015 class.
PHASE 1: Researching the attitudes and uses of touch screen technologies in the McDonald's restaurant kitchens.
PHASE 2: Understanding the collaborative culture between the Innovation Center and McDonald's kitchen equipment suppliers, with the goal of fostering a more rapid diffusion of innovations in kitchen equipment.
Attitudes and uses of touch screen technologies
During this phase, our team was tasked with developing a process for research and conducting the research surrounding the use of touch screens in existing McDonald's kitchen equipment. Our research led us to various insights from which we developed possible solutions.
Collaborative culture of McDonald's & its kitchen equipment suppliers.
Phase 2 revolved around the collaboration and the nature of the relationships between McDonald's and its kitchen equipment suppliers. We facilitated a workshop between the McDonald's Innovation Center and the kitchen equipment suppliers. This workshop helped the factions to come to an understanding.
